About Us

Take Two is made up of a Husband and Wife Duo, Chris and Tara D'Amico.
Chris began playing guitar at the age of 14 and is completely self-taught.By the
age of 18, Chris was already playing Lead Guitar with "Widow"and on an East
Coast Tour from Florida to Virginia playing all the "A" Circuit Clubs. After
"Widow", Chris began playing Lead Guitar for"First Born" and went on to have
many accomplishments with them. The band won Best Metal Band and Best
Metal Album at the 1994 Tampa Bay Metal Awards and Chris continued to
write/record numerous albums with them for over 10 years. Some of Chris'
other accomplishments include a 2nd Place Win at the Best Guitarist of the Bay
Contest in 1993 at Thoroughbred Music as well as writing & professionally
recording a total of 7 studio albums with various other Original bands that
Chris not only founded, but fronted, as well as played all Lead Guitar. Chris
later joined the band "Trade Secrets" for a short time where they played every
Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday night as the House Band at the "Karl Reef".

"The best compliment I continually receive is when someone tells me I
sound just like the artist, that they thought the radio was on. It doesn't
get much better than that."
Tara D'Amico.

Tara has been singing & performing in front of an audience from about the
age of 5. Her first "performances" were to albums like "Grease", "Annie", &
"The Wizard of Oz" in front of some of the local neighborhood moms. With a
pillow-case for a cape & a spoon for a microphone, the back of the couch was
her stage. At about the age of 10, not only was Tara involved in her school band
playing the clarinet, alto saxophone, & the trumpet, as well as taking piano lessons
and performing in various parades, concerts, & All County Band competitions,
she also began taking formal lessons & studying at Nancy Wetmore's Dance
Theater in NPR, FL where she had lead roles in live performances such as "The
Wizard of Oz". It was around that time she discovered that she truly loved
to entertain. By Middle/HighSchool she was still actively involved in School
band, Chorus & was the only person her age in the Adult Choir at her church.
Tara later began filling in with many local Top 40 bands around the Tampa
Bay area, but still had not found her niche. It was that search in fact, that
brought Chris and Tara together. They began as band-mates in a
local cover band, and the rest as they say......................... is history.
